Ghosts There are several ways you can find out about the ghosts and other mysterious happenings of East Anglia. Many books have been written, including several about 'the most haunted house in England' Borley Rectory, on the Suffolk/Essex border. It burnt down long ago but still manages to catch the imagination of many visitors to the area. Some modern books I can recommend are those by Betty Puttick, such as 'Ghosts of Suffolk' and 'Ghosts of Essex'. Also try 'Norfolk Ghosts & Legends' by Polly Howat and 'Ghosts of East Anglia' by Harold Mills-West. These are all published by Countryside Books. Also recommended are 'Out of Bounds - the paranormal in Norfolk' by Debby Haynes (M&D Publishing), 'Haunted Colchester'  by Wesley H. Downes (wesleys) and two books by G. M. Dixon, 'Folktales and Legends of Suffolk' and 'Folktales and Legends of Norfolk'.(Minimax Books) Two more you may find are 'East Anglian Ghosts, Legends and Lore by Peter Jeffery (Old Orchard Press) and 'Haunted East Anglia' by Joan Forman. Ghost Tours Pete Jennings and Ed Nichols are the principal tour guides for The Original Gemini Ghost Tours. They do public walking tours of Ipswich on the first Thursday of each month, plus special tailor made private parties at other times. Each Hallowe'en they present an extra special night, which is sold out well in advance. Boat trips, coach tours and a nightime visit to Christchurch Park have featured in recent years.
