I was born in Ipswich, Suffolk in 1953, but now live in Essex with my partner Sue and springer spaniels Bertie & Charlie. I have had careers as a telephone engineer, sales manager, carer and now I am a registerd Social Worker. I am also qualified as a counsellor & psychotherapist. Outside work I have written over a dozen books, frequently lecture to conferences and societies and am an Anglo Saxon re-enactor with Ealdfaeder. I have acted on film, tv and stage, and had my own folk radio show for over 20 years. I also guide ghost tours and act in murder mysteries, and used to be a singer with both rock and folk bands as well as a disco dj. To see where I am appearing click here.
